Course Description

Whether you're looking for an unplugged adventure, a chance to sharpen your canoe and camping skills or simply want to experience the great outdoors with family and friends, our inspiring four-day guided canoe adventure is the best way to get started.

Perfect for novice canoe enthusiasts, this small-group trip features approximately 25 miles of relaxing, calm-water paddling down the beautiful, remote West Branch of the Penobscot River, a stretch famous for its quiet waters, amazing scenery, incredible wildlife sightings and logging history.

Led by Registered Maine Guides, guests will learn all the skills and techniques needed to navigate the river and focus on enjoying the journey. After each day of paddling, we'll enjoy dinners by the campfire, and camp in tents under the starry skies.

Don't miss this chance to get away from it all while following the paddling route of author Henry David Thoreau and viewing moose, eagles and osprey along the way. We'll bring the gear and expertise, so you can focus on the outdoor fun.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your level of exertion.
