Course Description

Strap on some skis and leave your everyday routine behind on a 3-day/2-night hut-to-hut adventure through Maine's winter wonderland. Ski-enthusiasts come from all over to experience the well-groomed trails and stunning views the mountains in western Maine have to offer – and now you can too.

You'll be led by an expert L.L.Bean guide through an expansive network of cross-country skiing trails, where you'll get to ski along rivers, witness the magnificence of the mountain's many waterfalls and take in the breathtaking beauty of distant snowy peaks on the horizon. And since we'll be taking care of everything from skis and gear transportation to meals and lodging, the only thing you'll need to focus on is how much fun you're having while you explore this ruggedly captivating environment.

After an unforgettable day of skiing, the fun continues in one of the several European-inspired state-of-the-art huts found along the mountain trails of western Maine. There's no roughing it here, with spacious rooms and vaulted ceilings, clean, heated bunkrooms, beautiful leather furniture and all the amenities you need, including hot showers. Professional chefs in the hut's modern kitchen will cook you up a delicious hot meal using locally sourced ingredients to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Spend the rest of your evening with a good book by the woodstove or enjoy the company of your group and other fellow travelers over local Maine beers or a steaming mug of cocoa.

With no heavy gear to lug around, no planning to worry about and a trusted guide to ensure you stay safe and have a good time, this is the skiing trip you've always wanted to take. So, join us for three days of great exercise, great fun and some of the most beautiful skiing you've ever experienced.

Please note: This trip may not run if enrollment is low. Please contact us prior to purchasing airfare. Trip insurance is recommended.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your level of exertion.

†Please call ahead if you plan to use your own equipment as it must pass inspection by L.L.Bean staff before use. If it's deemed unsuitable, we will provide you with the necessary equipment.
