L.L.Bean Summer Kids' Camp is a safe and fun place for campers to learn new skills and enjoy a week full of outdoor adventures.
Our kids' camp is located on the scenic shores of Casco Bay in Freeport, Maine, offering unique opportunities to explore the outdoors by land and sea. Each day is full of exciting adventures for your child. Guided by expert instructors and experienced counselors, your camper will enjoy a day of small-group activities, which may include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, archery, casting, geocaching, ropes course, camp craft and more. They'll also play games, plus learn about the ecology and natural history of this unique spot.
Our instructors and counselors foster a friendly, safe and supportive environment, allowing your child to try new activities and learn more about themselves. They'll make new friends and learn lifelong outdoor skills, helping them be more comfortable, confident and safe in the outdoors
At the end of each day, all campers will receive an L.L.Bean Carabineer with laminated tags highlighting the new skills they've learned.

All necessary equipment for outdoor activities is provided.
NOTE Drop-off and pick-up is at the L.L.Bean Paddling Center on Lower Flying Point Road in Freeport. We do offer optional round-trip bus transportation from our Flagship Store to camp for a minor fee. Please book your reservation first and then call 1-888-270-2326 to sign up your camper for bus transportation. The fee is $15 per week; space is limited.
L.L.Bean does not usually cancel events due to inclement weather. However, we reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to severe weather, low enrollment or other concerns. If L.L.Bean cancels your event, you will receive a full refund for the cost of your reservation.
*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your level of exertion.
