Hiking isn't just for the summer months! Join our expert instructors for a guided snowshoe adventure up Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton, Maine. This moderately intense 3- to 5-mile snowshoe hike offers three-season hikers the opportunity to add a fourth season and active snowshoers the chance to push the boundaries of their skillset.
Our guides will meet you at Fogg Farm in Freeport and from there you'll ride a comfortable bus to the trailhead in Bridgton. There, you'll briefly review snowshoeing techniques and learn important tips about hiking in the winter. The trek will wind its way up the mountain, offering breathtaking views of Maine's western hills over Moose Pond. After reaching the top, your descent takes you back to the trailhead by approximately 3 p.m.
The hike includes hot cocoa, lunch on the trail and snacks. All necessary snowshoeing and hiking equipment is provided, although you may choose to bring your own snowshoes and crampons (subject to inspection by the guides). Participants should have some prior hiking and snowshoeing experience.

L.L.Bean does not usually cancel events due to inclement weather. However, we reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to severe weather, low enrollment or other concerns. If L.L.Bean cancels your event, you will receive a full refund for the cost of your reservation.
*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your level of exertion.
†Please call ahead if you plan to use your own equipment as it must pass inspection by L.L.Bean staff before use. If it's deemed unsuitable, we will provide you with the necessary equipment.
