Our exciting women's-only introduction course is a great way to learn the popular sport of stand-up paddleboarding – the perfect blend of exercise and fun. Paddleboarding, or SUP as it's commonly called, builds core body strength while allowing you to enjoy scenic lakes, coves and inlets.
In a relaxed environment, you'll learn the fundamentals of stand-up paddling and the essential water skills for being safe on the water. You'll learn the nose draw plus forward and sweep strokes. You'll also be introduced to seated pivot turns and the fundamentals of moving on your board.
You'll also learn how to use every piece of equipment, maneuver your board and the best paddling strokes for specific wind and water conditions. You'll receive one-on-one coaching and plenty of time to practice what you've learned. Be prepared to work hard and get wet, while learning about the fun sport of paddleboarding.
All necessary paddleboarding equipment is provided.
L.L.Bean does not usually cancel events due to inclement weather. However, we reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to severe weather, low enrollment or other concerns. If L.L.Bean cancels your event, you will receive a full refund for the cost of your reservation.
*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your level of exertion.
