Course Description

What better way to start the day than a relaxing sunrise paddle?  Glide along and watch the changing light as the dawn breaks. Following a short kayaking demonstration, our expert guides will take you on an interpretive tour and share fascinating facts about the local waters and wildlife. You'll also enjoy the ease and comfort of paddling one of our very stable solo recreational kayaks.

You'll pause on the water for a moment, catching a glimpse of the descending moon as the first rays of the rising sun glimmer across the water. And as sun climbs in the sky and the wisps of morning fog dissipate, your tour will end with an easy paddle back to the launch site – a truly unique experience to enjoy with family and friends, summer through fall.

All necessary paddling equipment is provided.

L.L.Bean does not usually cancel events due to inclement weather. However, we reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to severe weather, low enrollment or other concerns. If L.L.Bean cancels your event, you will receive a full refund for the cost of your reservation.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to weather conditions and your level of exertion.

†Please call ahead if you plan to use your own equipment as it must pass inspection by L.L.Bean staff before use. If it's deemed unsuitable, we'll provide you with the necessary equipment.

Hi, I have signed up for the Sunrise tour and I am an absolute beginner. Just did the Discovery course, thats about it as far my experience goes. 3 hrs sounds a bit long, could it get tiring after a while for someone with near-to-zero experience? Thanks!
