Are you by any chance 5'6" or over or with a torso measurement (from navel to chin looking straight) of over 17"? My torso measurement is 18" as per LL Bean measuring standards, and I'm afraid this bag will be too short in proportion.

I am 5'6". I'm on an AT maintenance work crew and the day trekker is the most popular backpack for work hikes in our club. However the women's model holds 20L and there is only one size. The men's small holds 25L. There should be 2 women sizes. The women on our crew order a small men pack. But that said, the pack is a favorite for good reason, we can clip our hardhats on the outside, fit our tools, first aid kit, rain gear, it is sturdy, nice compartments. By cinching the straps, the Sm mens fits me fine. I love it but the women's doesn't hold all we need to carry. We need to carry more than a typical day hike.

I'm looking for a good pack for running commuting. Could you imagine running with it? It actually looks like it might fit the body better than a lot of the packs intended for running.
