    your are not grinding the beans correctly. Press grind is supposed to be more coarse than perk or drip.

    As with any french press, you need make sure the particle size of the grind is optimal for the press. A courser grind is required (drip coffee is too small to use). Use the freshest, highest quality coffee beans you can find and grind them just before you are ready to use them. A course grind is recommended. Once you become a french press coffee fanatic, you will NEVER settle for Starbucks or pre-ground generic coffee ... ever again!
