Why We Love It

Built to protect clothes and gear on the way to the next adventure, our collection was designed with the outdoors in mind. We chose a rugged, weather-resistant fabric that's ideal for everything from car camping to cross-country flights. We also moved the backpack straps from bottom to top, so it's easy to carry as a duffle or pack - a design that keeps the load closer to your back for added comfort. Our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, first introduced this practical strap idea back in 1933.
