Took me awhile to figure out how to reply to the comment but here goes: Yes, the wool lined shearling collar jacket is warmer than the Thinsulate version because the bulky wool holds warmth and snugs against you more. But the Thinsulate one is quite warm, especially with a long sleeved shirt to keep your skin from initially cooling due to the shiny silky lining. My husband wore it with a short sleeve Tee shirt this past week, in 35 degree weather, and was plenty warm. I cannot speak for how warm it might be in a hard cold wind, like on a motorcycle, nor in cold rain or snow. We feel that the leather jacket is too nice to abuse. There are other, more appropriate jackets for hard use. I hope this has been helpful.

How did the warmth compare between the two jackets, IE did you find one to be warmer than the other?
