Made from 100% American Materials
We start with sturdy, substantial 24 oz. cotton canvas that’s also made in the USA. We use the same #4 duck canvas featured in conveyor belts due to its incredible strength – it simply wears like iron. No other canvas even comes close.
Built to Last, One Tote at a Time
We take strength seriously – our totes are designed with a reinforced canvas bottom and tested to hold up to 500 lbs. We also double-stitch the overlapped seams with heavy-duty T69 bonded nylon thread for extra durability.
In Our Iconic, Original Design
After it’s stitched, you’ll be able to tell it’s an L.L.Bean original by the “V-point” detail on both sides. The final step for many totes is a custom monogram in your chosen style and color. We may make your tote here in Maine, but you make it your own.
