Regretfully, my previous comment on this rod have vanished from the reviews. I will attempt to make my point again. I am fairly sure even a beginner fly fisher would not benefit from this fly rod. It does not track well, as there is quite a bit of wobble coming from the rod tip. The rod does not load well thus a beginner may attempt to overload the rod, in an attempt to simply to feel it load. Such actions by the fly caster will create problems such as tailing loops and other flaws which will be difficult to overcome with this rod. I want more people to enjoy fly fishing, as I have done for more than 50 years. Technology and advances in the manufacturing of fly rods is supposed to help in the fly fishing experience. This rod does not provide that.
