    Well, sir, please realize that being fixed-focus, there is no "zoom" associated with these 8x42s. BTW, in future, please avoid regular, gimmicky "zoom" binoculars because, unless you dish out big Franklins, the trade off in optical quality will not be equal to the seeming simplicity of having many magnifications in 1 package.
