    Sorry I waited
    These newer bindings are much better for old worn out backs and shoulder joints. I am very happy with my new snowshoes.

    PS the toe section is quite stiff and doesn't easily let go when trying to step out. If I have poles, I push down on the metal part of the snowshoe and then pull my foot out. If I have no poles, I just step on one snowshoe with the other, then step on the second snowshoe with my boot. No bending or straining.
