The kayak just in today. Assemble and disassemble were fine, took me a few times to get used to it. Now I can do it in second in or out.

Being used, no telling how the mechanism was abused by the previous owner during transport. I wonder if your fighting it has compounded the mechanical problem. Following the video worked fine for me and my wife all these years. Happy paddling.

Thinking about purchasing a Point 65N Martini Tandem Kayak. The customer reviews were very helpful. I am a novice and extremely inexperienced. I plan to start out by exploring some of the rivers and creeks right in my neighborhood, the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I have been researching a trip that follows the Rancocas Creek Canoe Trail. The creeks around here are pretty calm; no white water. A little scared, but you only go around once, right?
