    terrible product
These nippers look like the Abel Nipper but aren't worth 1/10 the cost. Magnets are too weak. I've returned this product. The quality is so poor that it... more

    Not so good Nippers
The magnet fell out of my nippers making them very difficult to use. I had to hold them open then cut. I'm sending them back for an exchange but would... more

Nip this product in the bud
These nippers look good but the design is abysmal. The magnets keeping the two halves apart are too weak and the gap between them too small. Because so... more

    Nipper
As a nipper, they cut well, but there are two problems with the design. First, the eye neddle is located in a place that makes it unuseable. Second, even... more

    Nipper not worth the price
Most important failing was that it didn't actually cut very well. Maybe I got a bad blade, but I had to be very precise about the pressure and speed of... more

    Great Nipper!
I use nippers to cut of the tag ends near the knot when tying on flies or adding tippet to leader. These are great for that purpose. It's easy to see where... more

Just returned nippers because they would not cut tippet well , received second nipper and it would not cut any better than first pair. Its to bad because I liked every other aspect of the product except the needle location.

Given the cost, I would have liked to be writing a favorable review. But, truth be told I found these nippers unsatisfactory in the following areas. 1. As mentioned: The hook eye cleaner is tucked too far into the side of the jaws to be useful for the hooks I use and on smaller dry flies it would be impossible to navigate them inside to be of any good. 2. The magnets that replace the springs and are supposed to keep the jaws open are extremely weak. When placing the nippers between my index and thumb and then holding the line in my other hand that needed to be cut, the pressure of just holding them between my fingers was enough to close them shut. The amount of pressure required to hold them (their weight) is more than the "spring" pressure of the opposing magnets. Getting a knot's tag end in between the blades and holding them at the same time when they won't stay open is impossible. Way to difficult to use, IMO. To be perfectly candid, I can't see how these are an improvement over the $6-$10 pair that last several seasons before needing replacement. At least the cheap nippers work! They'll be headed back for a refund. Save your money.
