  • Why We Love Them

Snowshoes have undergone a lot of changes in their 4,000 years of existence. But we feel none is a game changer like the addition of the revolutionary Boa-closure. Just pull the adjustment knob out to release the heel strap, slip in your boot and tighten the knob for an exceptional fit. Even better, you don't have to take your gloves off. Adapts to fit most types and sizes of winter boot. They also make it incredibly easy to switch between users of different size feet.

    Mostly happy!!!
The reason I say mostly happy is because when I initially tighten the Boa Bindings and begin snowshoeing, they get loose so I have to tighten them again.... more

I totally agree. Although I don't do it often, I really enjoy snowshoeing but I have had to sit down to attach regular Tubbs snowshoes. This BOA design is wonderful. I can stand up to put the snowshoes on and take them off; it makes the difference between wanting to go out, and thinking it's maybe too much trouble. The only negative for me; the removeable rubber baskets on the poles are not well designed. They came off twice on my first use and I lost one. Will contact LL Bean and hopefully get some extras to deal with this issue.
